Who it is for: My consulting services are for novelists who are not happy with an aspect of their story. They may feel like there is something a bit off about one of their characters, or that the setting is not quite right, for example. My consulting services are also for writers that have been rejected by agents or publishers and who would like feedback that will help them polish their manuscript for resubmission.

Who it is not for: This service is not for authors who have a manuscript written and would like it analyzed, from top to bottom. For that, I offer my Manuscript Critiquing and Developmental Editing services.

Process: When you book your session, you tell me what you want to discuss, and give me information about the genre and the length of your novel. 24 hours before our meeting I will request up to 1500 words to look at so that I am prepared to discuss the topic that you want advice on.

Monthly Retainer Option: I offer a monthly retainer option for writers who would like long-term or frequent coaching appointments. This opportunity is perfect for writers who want to be able to contact me to discuss their work several times a month, as their novel progresses. I require an upfront commitment of 2 months of retainer services. This includes up to 8 hours of consulting per month. Hours do not roll over to the next month. Services must be booked 48 hours ahead of our appointment so that I can catch up on your manuscript pages. I have time set aside several days a week for retainer clients, and I only accept two clients at any given time. Monthly Cost: $700. This is a discount of $100 off of my standard hourly Fiction Therapy rate.
